After lunch as we were waiting for our tour several staff and residents stopped to talk with us. They were so warm and friendly. My mom even had a long conversation with one of the gals who will probably be her first friend there. The chef, who I heard was open to suggestions, said he would be happy to try some of her recipes saying that it certainly wouldn't be as good as when she made it. We visited two other senior facilities this week and NOTHING came close to how we felt…

My mom felt welcomed and loved IMMEDIATELY when we walked in. We had lunch there and the sales person gave us a tour. After lunch as we were waiting for our tour several staff and residents stopped to talk with us. They were so warm and friendly. My mom even had a long conversation with one of the gals who will probably be her first friend there. The chef, who I heard was open to suggestions, said he would be happy to try some of her recipes saying that it certainly wouldn't be as good as when she made it. We visited two other senior facilities this week and NOTHING came close to how we felt at Sunrise of Plainview! She plans on moving there next year.

For example, my mom claims that it takes too long for a response when she presses her button. While mostly, it is less than 10 minutes, recently, she had a 20 min wait and I got on the phone with the exec director (who admitted that it was 20 min) and made it clear that it is not ok. Compared to her old place and what I’ve heard from people who are at the [community removed], sunrise is pretty good with response time. The all day dining is great because it allows…

I did memory care and assisted living at Sunrise of Plainview. It was nice. It was a little smaller and it was not renovated yet, but there were rooms that were renovated for people that are going through a tour. The room sizes were good. The studio sizes and shared room were good. The services are very good if you can afford it. The cleanliness was very good. Everybody, including the receptionist, was very nice. I did memory care and assisted living at Sunrise of Plainview. It was nice. It was a little smaller and it was not renovated yet, but there were rooms that were renovated for people that are going through a tour. The room sizes were good. The studio sizes and shared room were good. The services are very good if you can afford it. The cleanliness was very good. Everybody, including the receptionist, was very nice. I like the way they utilize their facilities, how the people are, and the food that they have. The menu was very good. I did not see anything dirty. Everything was well kept. The floor plans were good.

Very nice facility, small and quaint, which my Mom loves. The staff is responsive, caring and kind. My Mom was not interested in going to an assisted living facility, but after going through some medical challenges she accepted the idea and now loves the life she has. Thanks to all the staff at Sunrise, we appreciate you!
Great staff, everyone goes out and above for my mother. Nurses and front desk staff have the absolute best.
Sunrise is one of the most care amazing, assisted livings I have ever worked with. My dad is like family to everyone there. I feel so blessed every day that he is in such amazing place and is so well taken care of every day.
The daytime staff was wonderful. My father was not easy and they were very good to him. In addition they were always very good to me and went out of their way to let me know how my dad was doing. The staff truly seemed to care about each patient. The administration was not as caring and like most places was in it for the money. Also administrative personnel kept changing.
It is a daunting responsibility to find an assisted living facility for someone who has survived a stroke and other medical issues. SUNRISE Plainview was the choice. We started the long journey with the invaluable assistance of Michelle Martinez. Michelle took time to explain every step of the process. She knows well the organizational structure of the facility and has guided us as needed. We are impressed by the way Michelle goes the extra mile. She listens with patience and speaks with kindness, always with a smile in her voice. She is the type of employee who gives a good name to an organization.
