If I could give a higher review I would gladly do so. This is a wonderful caring facility!! I have such peace of mind knowing my sister is safe and lovingly cared for by the outstanding staff here.

I am writing my review on my manager Robin Carr, she is one amazing boss,she is very helpful,she get the job she treats her staff very good i can tell you this when it is birthday you can expect a cake and i little get together, you expect your bagles also one day in the week we all getting ice coffee. Robin is not afraid of helping us do our job when you call on her for help she is there Robin I am letting you know i do love and appreciate too also the residents of sunrise senior living dixhills, i am Donna McLeod lead care manager.
I have visited many assisted living facilities and I was pleased to see what a lovely community this was. The building is clean and warm. The staff is very friendly. Stephen and Lee were both a pleasure to work with. The facility has both assisted living apartments as well as locked memory care unit.
Sunrise Senior Living-Dix Hills was a great experience for our Mom and family. Sunrise is housed in a pretty, Victorian-style building that is well-appointed, clean and well maintained. It has a big wrap around porch in the front which is great for family visits and has lovely grounds and a nice garden in the back. The staff is terrific. From the care managers to the nursing staff and activities directors, they’re knowledgeable, kind, and great at communicating with families. Our Mom enjoyed participating in many of the activities and programs available for residents including arts and crafts, games, and music programs. One of our Mom’s favorite programs was reading to the kids at the nearby elementary school. Sunrise is pet friendly. That allowed us to bring our two Golden Retrievers to visit my Mom, which she loved. There were always good meals and healthy snacks being served and sometimes there were cookies and cakes being baked in the kitchen. Mom is gone now, but we will always be so grateful for the lovely facility and wonderful care and attention she enjoyed at Sunrise-Dix Hills.
The Dix Hills staff made the holiday season such a glorious and happy time. The caring staff, the special celebrations, and other interesting activities make living here a pleasure.
