4.6 · 86 reviewsMy 90 year old Mom has been here for 5 months and she absolutely loves it. We are visiting right now and eating lunch with her and the food is great. The people that work here are loving and caring. The facility is absolutely beautiful inside with flowers and a beautiful pond outside the grounds are really really nice. We were just talking there is nothing that she would change about the place. The apartments are very nice too
The vast majority of aides are exceptional , they work for poverty wages and , care for severely affected patients with alzheimer’s and other dementia causes and are not fully appreciated by the Corporate owners . The food is at best average and often not very appetizing . I feel the patients are well taken care of and are safe as can be with their physical and mental limitations . More appreciation for the staff would definitely make this facility a good 5 as well . separating the leadership of memory care and assisted living would improve the ability to create a cohesive and happy staff
Peregrine has been wonderful for my family member. The staff are so nice and accommodating to her needs. She was very reluctant to go to assisted living but consistently states it is the place she would choose. At first she was reluctant to join any activities but as she has settled in she has participated in the church activities well as the exercise classes. The community members were very welcoming and have been influential in helping her join. We really feel that we picked the best place for her.

Great collaboration with the Crossgate team at Peragrine. Everyone I’ve encountered goes above and beyond to support older adults and their families. Staff are professional, compassionate, and reliable. With their honest feedback, reputable staff and welcoming facility, they have become a trusted referral source, along with the many other Peregrines throughout the Capital Region.
The team there is excellent. The facility is very nice, all on one floor, very well maintained, the grounds are very pretty, they have a pond for those residents that enjoy walking around on nice days.
A very accommodating administrative staff. Care teams truly care! Maintenance and support staff are happy to assist, happy to be there, and most telling, know most of the residence by name. This is a special place where people who care for your family members, TRULY care for your family members.
I did a lot of research and visited several other local residences. This was the best for us...offered mom her privacy, accessibility, independence, choices, and safety and companionship. In my mind, the best in Albany, Colonie, or Latham! Mom sadly passed away after only 2mos there, shortly after a fall in her apt. I've been devastated, mom had just turned 99 less than 2 weeks earlier. Peregrine was a great residence, I wish Mom had had more time to completely acclimate. Mom had a lovely apartment w/ with large separate bedroom and adorable kitchenette. Bathroom was small but safe open shower. Good closets and storage spaces. Access to laundry down the hall which she preferred doing herself. Beautician who styled Mom's hair so beautifully. Delicious food and snacks. I loved it there for mom.
The facility is great, the residents and very engaging, friendly and welcoming. The staff are wonderful. They genuinely care about the residents and are very helpful in making everyone feel at home and receive the proper care. The nursing director is amazing, always available to answer questions or concerns. Keeps us up to date on any changes or concerns they may have and we all come together with appropriate action to help taken. There are lots of great activities and outings.
