2.9 · 127 reviewsAt the end, it is not the Medicaid process. It’s the person in your office that does not submit paperwork as soon as they could. The Medicaid process is long to begin with and when someone doesn’t do their job fast enough and paperwork sits on their desk that does not help.
My Sister was just A resident there I guess my biggest complaint is Kay in the office could have done more to move the application for Medicaid along quicker. It would have set my Sisters mind relax a bit more. One top of all my sisters health problems she had to worry about Medicaid going through. I believe Kay did not do her job . My Sister unfortunately has passed she gave up her Dialysis. She just had this feeling nothing was working out for her .she had so many nice things to say for all the people that helped her. It would have been nice if Kay did her Job …Today the day after we had…

The letter from Medicaid was dated 8/6/26 Maria passed away on 8/11/26 because she just gave up on dialysis before she past she said nothing seems to be going her way. I’m sure just tired of all the health problems were a big part of her decision but I always have to wonder if she would’ve felt more comfortable knowing that Medicaid went through and things might’ve been looking up for her .

administration/owners should all be fired for their gross incompetence and essentially for not upholding best practice standards. they refuse to staff the center appropriately therefore overworking current nursing staff. they’d rather focus taking money from patients than ensure a safe environment for them.
My brother was there and had a medical emergency and they took him to the hospital 2 days later! Do not let your family member go to this nursing facility! They neglect their patients!
I wouldn’t send a dog here unless you wanna end up cremating him in a few days
Absolutely horrific! My father was there for a short span and we had to go up there daily to make sure he was being treated right. His room was a mess, they lost his new clothes, and broke his fan, that we had to bring up because his room was hotter than hell! I asked for a drink of water for him three times, but the LPN's couldn't be bothered to stop watching TV to get him one. He fell out of his bed multiple times and his overall care was on the verge of negligent! When I complained to the director he asked if I had spoken If I had spoken to the Head of Nursing of the Head of Housekeeping. No, I haven't. I'm speaking to you. Perhaps you should come out of your office and speak to your employees, because apparently nobody can do their job!!
Always fun to visit the folks at Onondaga Center! I enjoy their stories and enthusiasm.
