This hospital doesn't do their job right. My father went to the hospital for chest pressure (feeling like an elephant is sitting on his chest) and chest pain on his right side. They sent him home within an hour. Then we had to go back later in the day because his symptoms got worse, he passed out and collapsed on the floor. Within not even an hour they discharged him again, calling it anxiety. My father had his gallbladder removed 3 weeks ago and Oneida Hospital couldn't even figure out that his gallbladder wasn't contracting AT ALL. We had to go to Rome Hospital after going to Oneida Hospital EVERY DAY for a week straight, they just kept sending him home calling it anxiety. If you ever want to be diagnosed with anxiety just come to this hospital, since that's all they seem to know how to diagnose.

Went to hospital for pressure in chest and sharp chest pains in right side of chest. They did ekg and sent me home. Went back after collapsing on floor. Same thing. Still feel the same. I had surgery 3 weeks ago. What if it's something major and they are not checking. Very bad at doing tests. I would go elsewhere if I had a way but unfortunately am stuck with them

If I could leave a negative review- I would. From the first day of my mother being admitted to this facility, it was nothing but pure neglect and negative interactions. She had called to be helped to the bathroom and had to wait so long she urinated on herself, not once, but twice. Then was left in her own urine for hours and it took me personally getting ahold of the supervisor of the facility to get her cleaned up. She was also denied her pain medication and we were given ever excuse possible as to why, she ended up missing 7 doses and having to wait over 12 hours before she was offered…

She was also denied her pain medication and we were given ever excuse possible as to why, she ended up missing 7 doses and having to wait over 12 hours before she was offered anything other than plain over the counter Tylenol. They were also unequipped to handle her serious seizure and bipolar disorder, not even having the medication on site prior to admission which had been stated days before she was sent over there, and did not receive it for hours past when she is supposed to get it. For days it was the same fight for her pain medication, only ever being somewhat resolved after I would have to go in personally or call supervisors to have them administer the medication. Her seizure and bipolar meds were never given at consistent times. Before I physically removed her from the facility, the final breaking point was the absolute violation of patient and disabled persons rights when a nurse did not bring her medication for several hours past when she had asked, had my mother walk down the hallway unattended to get it and had her wait so long she asked for a wheelchair because she was in so much pain, to which they denied and stated “I am not going to walk all the way down there to bring your medication right now, so you can either wait and I’ll get it now or you can go back down there and wait until I want to bring it to you”, and then continued to leave her unattended to hobble back down the hallways by herself. This place is a joke and should be investigated on negligence and violation of patient rights. We also had asked for her MAR (medical administration records) multiple times and was never given it or able to view- which is a severe violation of HIPPA laws, as well as a blood test that was not spoke about to her prior nor were any questions as to why they were taking her blood answered until I was wheeling her out of the facility on my own, another severe violation of HIPPA and could even be considered medical battery and medical treatment without consent. Do not bring or allow your family members to be brought to this facility unless you hate them.

Very disrespectful staff. Always say everything is anxiety. Don't run tests they should. Lie on paperwork about doing tests. I came in with chest pain abdominal pain and throat pain. Blamed my anxiety and sent me home after doing a flu and covid test. Chest still hurts. Kicked me off property while waiting for a uber

The lack of care in this hospital killed My Sister. Please avoid this place at all cost!!!!!

Me and my fiancé would like to give a very big thank you and appreciation to all the nurses and doctors on the baby floor. Thank you to you all for being there for me and my fiancé while she was in labor and making the delivery. Was a great and safe success. The nurses were very polite and awesome. There to help. Thank you for delivering us our beautiful baby.

This hospital is terrible. Get your loved one transferred from there immediately.

Other then the Er doctor having no bedside mannrers the hospital did a very good job of helping my mom get better. The employees on the 4th floor where admitted patents go, are some of the best healthcare staff I've seen in a while. Dr Vanderhoff (probably miss spelled that) is an AMAZING DR. He did everything and anything he could for my Mom who he was treating and then helped my sister and myself, so much by explaining things a non dr can understand. He needs to teach other drs on how to treat people, and their families. I cant say enough about how the staff on the 4th floor bent over backwards and went above their jobs. They made us very comfortable in knowing mom was being care of so we could go home and get rest and not feel like we had to supervise the 24/7. My mom was Scared of what was going on and they would go slow and easy and do their absolute best to not make it any more painful then it had to be. Again these are the people that you want taking care of you or a loved one
