My husband just passed and I cannot say enough positive things about their staff. The nurses are some of the best I have seen and the aids are amazing. My husband was going thru the usual behavior for a patient with. Dementia, acting out and difficult. They were understanding and we're aware as they had experienced this before. They are all over worked and I so wish they could get more caring help, I cannot say the same from the service that sends others in to cover. They are not as well trained as the regular staff. They are all over worked and I so wish they could get more caring help, I cannot say the same from the service that sends others in to cover. They are not as well trained as the regular staff. I went almost daily to help my husband with feeding and companion ship and got to know many patients and staff so I saw their caring way for their patients. They work very hard and they are so appreciated! I do not remember all their names but nurse Erin, and the nurse who often worked with her. Lexie ,Steph are amazing aids, and Amy who left but still works part time are just amazing! There are others i just can't remember their names. If I wasn't 76 I'd go back and get my certification and get a job there. I also would be happy when my time comes to be a patient there. I wish more young and older people would get certified and work there. THANK YOU EVERYONE THERE FOR ALL YOU DID FOR MY HUSBAND DURING HIS STAY.
Fantastic, small, compassionate..not many places like this left in the world! So grateful for the loving profession care my mom receives xo!!!
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Northwoods Nursing Home. The staff here truly go above and beyond every single day they are incredibly caring, compassionate, and hardworking. It’s clear that they genuinely love what they do, and it shows in how they treat every resident with respect and kindness. Any time I’ve had questions or concerns, they’ve always been addressed quickly and thoroughly, which brings such peace of mind. Communication is excellent, and you never feel left in the dark. And the food absolutely amazing! It’s clear that a lot of thought and effort goes into making…

Any time I’ve had questions or concerns, they’ve always been addressed quickly and thoroughly, which brings such peace of mind. Communication is excellent, and you never feel left in the dark. And the food absolutely amazing! It’s clear that a lot of thought and effort goes into making meals that are not only nutritious but also enjoyable. I would highly recommend Northwoods to anyone looking for a place where their loved one will be truly cared for like family.
I don’t even give them ONE STAR but had too so we could make this review !!!!!!!Horrible facility and place was filthy along with the staff . We were never told of Covid cases when we walked into facility to visit our loved one . They lied thru their teeth about dad eating and he ended up being rushed to ER AND Passed away few days later . Staff neglected him and did not follow thru with proper care of his needs . Within 3 days our father passed away !!!!!!!!WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS place for your loved ones !!!! Sickens us on how our elders are treated when they’ve dedicated their whole lives to us !!!!!!!
What a wonderful place! My lifelong best friend is currently a patient at Northwoods. We are "small-town folk" ... although, I have been a nurse for 40+ years at organizations in big cities. I am accustomed to being the 'caretaker' in my family and for my group of friends: however, due to my own current medical issues, I'm not able to be with my loved one nearly as often as I would expect of myself. It is hard to watch someone you love, struggle ... and not be able to help them through this challenging phase of life. I am repeatedly touched by the kindness the staff of this facility shows to my family and friends. They treat us "like family" ... and even though I hate leaving, I know this team of caretakers, are good people that I can trust will do their best for my friend.
Staff if totally rotten to the patients and there family's
You'll earn that perfect rating back when you remove the lack of professionalism from your staff.
My wife was at Northwoods for 2 weeks for short-term physical rehabilitation. Though I wasn't allowed to visit her in the facility they did allow me to see her through her room window. They kept me updated daily with her progress every time I called. They treated her with respect that she deserves. She is basically bed bound and they helped her every day with her activities of daily living. I highly recommend this place.
