My uncle is down there. My father told me today every time he has visited the place has wreaked of urine. My father also told me that they have some stiplulation that basically someone has to be in a better condition than when they arrived or else they will not be released. For instance, if you go in for maybe something like a broken leg, and due to their negligence or whatever end up with a life threatening disease, they will not realize you to go somewhere that will treat you better. Seems very suspicious to me.
Having my mother there has been a challenge. My mother has to request her meds. And on one occasion the nurse claims she brought my mother her pain pill. Well my mother was clear on what she asked for, and upon bringing my mom her medication. The nurse confirmed that it was what my mother asked for. Come to find out it wasn’t. It was something entirely different. Upon being confronted the nurse then tried to sound so surprised. And then went and gotten what was rightfully my mother’s medication. It’s now no wonder why my mother’s pain had been unbearable. This nurse has been giving mom…

It was something entirely different. Upon being confronted the nurse then tried to sound so surprised. And then went and gotten what was rightfully my mother’s medication. It’s now no wonder why my mother’s pain had been unbearable. This nurse has been giving mom something other than what is requested and rightfully mom’s. Call lights on and no response. Just a big joke, if you have family there. Make it a priority to come and visit often (daily) if possible. And invest in a med alert bracelet or necklace. Unfortunately the response from the med alert is far quicker then the staff. It’s so much I can say, and I have the receipts to prove and back up what I’m saying. However, I can actually say this. Certain days of the week, you can truly tell the staff that is truly invested. And on other days. Those who are there just for a check!.
It was great seeing my old friend Barbara in room 30 I think on C wing!!!
Worst place you could ever put your loved one in! It is dirty, nasty, and the staff ignores you when you bring up any concerns! Seriously, would not put my dog in there. Once you are in there, it's virtually impossible to get them out! Please do not put your loved ones in this place. Seriously may be the last place they ever go!
My sister Linda loves it at Newfane nursing home. She has been there a year now.All the aids are so good to her.
The drive wasn't bad only 1.5hrs my visit was great with my brother his room was clean the staff was friendly can't wait to visit him again 😊
Patients are severely neglected! Call light on 45 minutes later still no help. 2 hours visiting someone they never helped him at all! Close the facility and move everyone out They rarely get patients out of bed especially on the weekends even with asking multiple times. They do not turn and position patients who are unable to roll which sets them up for bed sores.
Everyone is always so friendly and ready to help.
