Sad to say it’s a very poorly run facility. Administration has no idea what goes on and when confronted with issues respond with “ then go somewhere else”.Maybe the “new masons” can help. For all current and future residents I hope the new group of overseers get a handle on the staff and care. It’s clean and “looks” fabulous until you are a resident. Understaffed, CNAs on day shift are fabulous and work hard, evening staff majority spend on their phones and have attitudes, nights there are no CNAs and maybe one LPN covering 3 households to pass medication. Medical care is limited, and not experienced in gerontology, dementia, and end of life care. No physician available majority of the time so they use virtual people from somewhere to make medical decisions after 4pm, then if medication is needed it’s not available as new pharmacy issues… If you must place a family member there, I’d recommend you visit daily, have constant over-site of medication, put everything in writing and ask for proof in writing. Nothing is as it “seems”. Grateful to not have to interact with incompetent people and that my father is no longer there.

Poor care.

This review is only in relation to grounds keeping and getting to identigo. The campus plows had no regard for traffic. Snow was plowed over the sign for where I had to Go makingng me late. Then, no one was available to let me (for which there is no signage stating someone has to let you in. Also, no phone number to contact someone). I stood in the breezeway until someone happened by. I hope the rest of this place is run better, for the sake of you and/or your relatives.

I highly recommend taken your loved ones here to get the care they deserve. The staff was thoughtful and caring. They've taken such wonderful care of my uncle for several years until the Lord God brought him home recently. The grounds are beautiful with lovely landscapes and statutes to walk around. The view in his room was beautiful looking out his window, you always new what season it was by that. I should have taken it on another day, but through the blinds you could see. The only complaint we had was his electronic photos, someone had taken the wire from it, inwhich the staff was certain it was another resident, but it's not certain where it went. Above all he received the greatest care.

There is not enough help. My father is being neglected and got an infection because of it. We have tried to address the issue many many times to no avail. My father is a 63 year member of the Mason's and thought he would be taken care of. We are paying over $13,000 a month. This is unacceptable.

Whoever did Fingerprinting on 9/10 around 2 has an attitude problem. I already waited over an hour (really not a problem) but when getting my picture done he kept huffing and puffing telling me to sit up straight when the real problem was I was out of frame, he even rolled his eyes at me. Another person who was also getting their fingerprints had to come in and move the chair and fix the actual issue.

I would rate this nursing home ZERO stars if i could. Every time i come to see my mother she’s being neglected. The staff is terrible they do not care for their patients. I’ve called multiple times and even spoke to HR about this and nothing is being done. This is very frustrating and honestly disappointing. DO BETTER MASONIC.

Masonic Care Community of New York is very good. The facility is nice and the staff is very nice. They seem to be very interested and my wife seems happy down there and I'm satisfied. Her room is nice. She has dementia so most of the time, they're in a common area where they eat and there's TV out there. Most of them go out of the room and spend time with the people. Cleanliness is very good, too. My wife has gained weight there so she's satisfied with the food and it is prepared right there. Each unit has its own kitchen. They bring in some food and put it in the freezer and then warm it up, but they mainly have someone cooking and preparing it right there and there seems to be a good variety. They certainly give them enough and one nice thing about them is if residents don't seem to eat the food, someone comes over and feeds them. They take the fork or spoon and put the food in their mouth. They don't force them, but they just help them eat and they are very good about that. I don't see many activities. I think part of it is the condition of the residents. They can't do it. There are about 15 residents in the unit and my wife is one of the better ones. Some of them can't talk or anything. I think their prices are about the same as the others. They're all too high.
