My aunt was spending 6 weeks here. The PT and OT were some of the best things shes ever done for herself. Mary Jane Canalapan IS THE BEST head nurse ive ever had the pleasure of speaking with she helped my aunt at every turn and I only wish I could show her more appreciation for what she does. Mary hopefully you read this soon THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING.

Took a tour with Nathalie to figure out the best solution for my mom and I am impressed. She took me around, explained what to expect, and was very honest. She showed me the recreation calendar and they had a few things my mom could attend if she got bored in her room. Overall, I'm pleased.

Thanks for all that you do!

It’s been two years since my mother was abused at Mary Manning Walsh— my recommendation remains keep your loved ones far far away. MMW kept her in wet diapers for hours. They yelled at her when she asked to be changed. They broke her glasses and charged her a new pair. They refused to give her medicine that was on the cart with her name on it despite repeated requests. They punished her for requesting dry diapers, they said she arrived with Covid when she didn’t and no amount of my showing her chart to doctors and nurses could get them to correct the obvious error which meant full hazmat every time they entered her room — yet all of her Covid tests were negative. So any need she had was delayed by at least 15 minutes for a disease she did not carry. I had daily conversations with her medical team trying to correct this medical error and they would just yell at me, though the doctors, the physicians could all see her chart was negative for Covid and agreed with me when I could get them on the phone, which was rare. It was Gothic. It was horrifying. My mother lost her will to live at Mary Manning Walsh because of the staff and admin cruelty, nastiness, punishment, incompetence ugliness, poor staffing, carelessness, bad training, and punitive attitude Conversations with administration and head of the organization did not yield better results. The staff are mean cruel and uninvolved in patient care. I have never seen anywhere so disgusting. It made my mother want to die. She got very depressed from the Care at Mary and Walsh, which had such a good reputation. All she could think about was getting out so that she could get into a hospice somewhere kind. She went in healthy in need of rehab and came out wishing she were dead. Never ever send someone you love to this place . It blows my mind they remain open. It is like CECOT, but for old people. Truly, one of the worst experiences of any of our lives. I remain irate. And the indifference of the administration truly galls me to this day — I wish them an old age of the type of care they give to other people‘s families, cruel, inconstant, wet diapers, poorly planned, retributive nasty, unhygienic, punitive, ill trained, indifferent to the care of old people, breaking necessary pieces of medical equipment, and not replacing them for weeks, then charging the patient and the government for it. It still shocks me I remain outraged Do not send your loved ones here Do not think if you agitate for care your family member will get better care, or if you show up every day the care will be OK. It will not. I was there every day. Nothing improved. It only got worse. They withheld necessary medicines. They destroyed her glasses with carelessness so she could not read. They couldn’t read her chart accurately or refused to. It is truly hell. Dickensian in the worst sense of the word . I would send my worst enemies, and my worst enemies now include the administration and staff of Mary Manning Walsh
