PT was great for my recovery from a hip replacement. After a week I was able to walk, which was very helpful because otherwise I had to wait long periods of time for assistance to go to the bathroom. Food was bad, I had many dinners where I ate a PB & J sandwich instead of what was offered. Worst was that over my 3 and a half week stay, 2 of the roommates I had had dementia and kept me up half the night. I was sleep deprived due to aides changing my other roommate's wet diapers. Meds given at 5 am. So happy to be home!
The facility is very clean and staff is friendly. They need more staff to help with attending With the Residents. If they had more staff I would rate them 5 stars.
During my visit, I met several residents who appeared lonely and were waiting long periods of time for basic assistance and personal care. What was most concerning was hearing repeated reports from residents that they were forced to wait extremely long periods of time for basic assistance, including help with toileting and personal care — in some cases, well over an hour. The staff members I encountered were kind and friendly, which made it seem less like an issue of uncaring employees and more like a serious staffing and support problem. No resident should have to wait that long for essential care and dignity. I truly hope management takes these concerns seriously and works toward improving staffing and response times so residents receive the care and attention they deserve. I was visiting my aunt at Margaret Tietz a few months ago. These concerns were also reported to administration at the time. I would be happy to provide additional details directly; please provide the name and phone number of the appropriate administrator to contact
After disasterous experience at Parker Jewish was pleased by the professionalism and thoroughness of Tietz staff and management.
The care, kindness, and food were all top notch. Thank you for it all
Staff very friendly, facility is very clean! No smell of urine and disinfectant!!! Very nice space for residents to sit outside- beautiful fountain and flowers.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and neat. Parking was not easy, though.
The Margaret Tietz Nursing and Rehab Center is a most welcoming center beginning with the front desk receptionist. It is bright and cheerful. The staff are courteous, professional, and very helpful. The center’s floors are spacious and bright. The modern-appearing physical therapy department is bright and full of activity with the residents. Its courtyard is beautiful and would probably be even more beautiful as the Spring season flowers bloom over the next few weeks. Wonderful atmosphere for the residents!
