Ives Hill Retirement Community

The enriched assisted living community that my loved one lives in is at The Lodge at Ives Hill. It is adjacent to this independent living community. It empathizes care over activities and food choices. It is very clean. My loved ones apartment is spacious but it came with zero furniture. No towels nor sheets are provided. It has the usual kitchenette and a nice walk in shower. Everything is relatively new. The workers are friendly and provide good care. All care is included in the monthly cost. The food according to my loved one. Breakfast and lunch are okay. They don't look forward to dinners usually. They have the option to cross the street and eat at the main lodge but has no one to eat with them there. My loved one eats out dinner with a family member at least 3x a week. There are very few activities for residents. My loved one goes to senior day care in Watertown twice a week for activities. Bingo, occasional music and trips to a local ice cream shop. The family initiated this day care and had to push for the lodge to provide free transportation to and from. As for value. I think you get what you pay for.
