I have been residing at Island Assisted for about 3 months. I have no complaints the rooms are clean and everything is done nicely. I would recommend Island Assisted Living to anyone in my own family who requires Assisted Living. The food is good I like it and it keeps me on a healthy diet a d it's close to my relatives which is a plus so they can come by and visit whenever they want.
Island Assisted Living does a wonderful job taking care of my stepgrandfather, a veteran who has always been very brave and self reliant. As he entered his 90s living alone in Riverdale, the Bronx it became increasingly difficult for him. As we are now in Suffolk County Long Island we are glad we could find something commutable so we can visit him. The compassionate staff at Island Assisted Living provided him with the care, support and comfort he needed at his advanced age. Our family is truly grateful for this type of support.
I have had the opportunity to work with this assisted living facility professionally and have referred many families there over the years. The staff is truly wonderful -kind, compassionate, knowledgeable and always willing to go the extra mile to help the residents and families. I would feel confident recommending this community to families looking for a caring and supportive assisted living facility.
I recently assisted a senior with moving into Island Assisted Living in Hempstead, and I came away with a very positive impression. Brian, the Director of Admissions, was outstanding throughout the entire process. He was professional, knowledgeable, compassionate, and always available to answer questions. He made the move-in experience smooth and helped the client feel comfortable during what can be an emotional transition. The staff was welcoming, patient, and respectful, and the community was clean, well-maintained, and had a warm, inviting atmosphere. It was clear that the team genuinely cares about the residents and works hard to make them feel at home. Based on my firsthand experience, I would confidently recommend Island Assisted Living to anyone looking for a caring, supportive, and professional assisted living community for a loved one. Thank you to Brian and the entire team for making this move such a positive experience.
Island Assisted Living is a very spacious and clean community. The staff is very friendly and they do a good job. They have a nice deck area and patio. I am also a former piano teacher and they have both a piano and keyboard. The lounge area is nice and comfortable.
Great hospitality , courtesy at its top, extreme professionalism and kindness was observed while visiting, Mr. Brian Millar was extremely nice and cooperative to show around and explain the whole services. Simply amazing
I have lived at Island Assisted Living for 4 or 5 years. Island Assisted Living helps me with Speech Therapy and Physical Therapy. I am getting better and because of the therapy I am recovering decently from my stroke. The friends I met here are so nice too it's great to be social and have lots of people to talk to.
