Hillside Manor Rehabilitation

We had the chance to see our grand aunt in rehab. The staff were friendly and supportive on our grand aunt’s needs and accommodating with us as we had questions that were inevitably addressed. The area is very accessible in Queens with a parking lot which makes it easier for both staff and guests and I thought it was a fair amount of spots which was great. I thought the place was great and hope we would see the eventual recovery of our grand aunt. Much gratitude and appreciation to the staff team and thank you.

Reception staff are exceptional. They follow through on family requests and get the proper staff referrals. Staff on 8th floor usually caring. My mother has been consistently missing her clothes after I complained. Also, despite being diabetic is consistently given non-diabetic diet which has precipitated weight loss down to 101 pounds. I was instructed that no diabetic foods available for patient on pureed foods. No intervention offered to increase protein intake. Collagen suplement

At first I thought this establishment was a great place when I came here with my Aunt. She was doing fine at first straight from the hospital. The staff were really nice and caring towards her. A day or two later my aunt had a stroke and they did not want to release the patient. We couldn’t even take her to the hospital until they get approval from health insurance to let her go. They also do not have proper care for a stroke and they justified saying that we can at least see her at the rehab & in the hospital we will not be able to see her because she will be in the ICU.
