4.1 · 320 reviewsMy brother in law was transferred from Northshore Hospital to this place for rehab. 7/29/26. 7/30 early morning, he coughed a lot of blood. Nurse gave him ice pack and said would notified doctor. No one came. 7/31 morning , he coughed a lot of blood again. The nurse did not take actions even family called. He called 911 by himself. ER said he was lucky to be here earlier, otherwise, he would die. Very disappointed about their nurses skills and how the organization handle emergency.
I must say we were hesitant about placing my aunt in a rehab but we are very happy with the outcome. She has even gained some weight and has started walking. We’re happy to see she’s clean and has even made a few friends. Administration is very attentive and she seems very on top of things.
Everyone has been so nice and helpful. They are taking very good care of my wife. They have a nice patio out front the patients can go out for fresh air and they have different activities to do for the patients that are able.

While coming into the facility I asked to speak to some one from social work and a lovely young lady named Lauren A happened to be on main floor area and was so kind to let me know I could leave my business cards there if anyone needed home care. This was my second visit to Highfield Garden Care Center.. The personal were very friendly and helpful. The environment was exceptional . Nursing Station was neat an staff presentcwere relax.. No foul odors as you walked through the hall or in the room The nurse came in twice during my visit just to check on her. Sidney Greene
