BLOOD will be on the 1st floor hallways from the elevator to the lobby entrance for DAYS without it being cleaned up and this has happened more times than I can count since my family member moved in. There is always blood droplets on the floor!!!! In addition to blood, there is always countless other fluids on the floor. I have quite literally seen residents have their animals to defecate on the floors outside of the elevator. They have someone come in to clean maybe once a week but it's never done very well. For…

I wish I could give no stars or negative. This place is absolutely disgusting. BLOOD will be on the 1st floor hallways from the elevator to the lobby entrance for DAYS without it being cleaned up and this has happened more times than I can count since my family member moved in. There is always blood droplets on the floor!!!! In addition to blood, there is always countless other fluids on the floor. I have quite literally seen residents have their animals to defecate on the floors outside of the elevator. They have someone come in to clean maybe once a week but it's never done very well. For the rest of the week it is quite literally a biohazard. There are always massive bugs, including cockroaches, all over the place in this building. They claim to be spraying monthly but it's not doing much. On the upper floors there is no ventilation or air conditioning and it always smells like someone has died. The trash rooms are always overflowing and rarely taken care of. Snow removal is a nightmare because half of the residents aren't able to move their vehicles when the plowing is happening. Packages have been stolen and nothing is ever done. Certain residents get special treatment while others are treated harshly. They have a no smoking rule meanwhile people smoke by the front doors all the time and the elevators always smell like weed. This is a 55+ community and they deserve to live in a clean place that is safe.
Ridiculous the amount of issues at this property. Managers are useless. Pests, roaches, plumbing issues. Needs to be reported to the health department at this point.
If I could do no star I would. It's not even the manager's fault what goes on here. It's the property owners Wilder Balter Partners, WBP Development LLC that have no conscience on how they allow this 55+ community to be maintained. This company has other properties well maintained in Westchester county. Our building is the unwanted step-child. You never get a response from them .. all they want is the rent check period. Pitiful

After years of neglect, management realized why people moved out in droves and the 40% turnover rate - the place was poorly maintained and filthy. The apartments weren't updated in 15 years. Now, with one senior manager conscripted here, they hired a cleaning crew for the corridors, painted the hallways and upgraded several apartments. This is a non-smoking building, but people smoke IN FRONT OF THE MAIN ENTRANCE, blocking the door, 24/7, under the building overhang. Including new tenants who don't understand that this is a nonsmoking building even after signing special addendums to the lease and signage around the building! Nothing can be done to stop them as many of them are Section 8 and government pays more than regular tenants. So, if you have breathing/respiratory/asthma issues, this is not the place to live - you'll end up dying from the secondhand smoke.
A nice community for older residents. Grounds are well kept. Nice size parking lot. Big elevator.

We don't have much of a staff, but the super and his wife are amazing they are very friendly. This is an apartment complex, they don't have a lot of care services. You are pretty much taking care of yourself or have an aid come in every once in awhile. You do have to cook your own food. The room sizes are good enough for one person. The kitchen inside my apartment is small, but they do have other kitchens that are big enough to fit a table in it. This is a pretty affordable place to stay,
Should you smoke tobacco or pot, or have substance abuse problems, Heritage Pointe is the PERFECT place! No rules - you can smoke to your heart's content in your apartment. You can drink yourself sloppy drunk in the community room daily with all the other active alcohols. Best of all, bring in your bedbugs, hoarding, refusal to bathe & clean - why not join your filthy mentally ill neighbors?
