this rehab place is horrible, spare your loved one at all cost

I want to start by saying I am not usually one to write a review but I felt compelled to today. My family is amidst a crisis due to my mother needing nursing home care. Lisa Toress at Epic has been going above and beyond for us. She has made our whole experience so much better. She is compassionate and takes the time to listen to your story amd find a way to help you or give you resources to help you. Epic is truly lucky to have a team member like her. She is a true asset to your company. I know I am not the only family who sees that in her bc I was talking to another residents family and they have had the same experience I had with her. Epic hold on to her. She is a gem!!! Also, everyone who has cared for my mother has been very nice. Your facility is five stars with me.

The staff were extremely supportive and adhere to the best treatment plan that truly led to the road of recovery. The administrator was kind, attentive and respectful. A super place to get well! I strongly endorse Epic Rehabilitation.

My stay at EPIC rehab was wonderful because of the happy caring staff they have smiles for the patients and always willing to help, they could get more staffing though. I do want to recognize people from the nursing department Maxine, Maura, Terry, Tiana, Grace, Marion, Michael, Norita and Angela. The physical therapy team Joanne, Caroline, Trevor, Ariel, Terrance, Vinny, Mark Katrina, Dean, Lem and Jean they are all wonderful happy outgoing people motivate you during your therapy session. I recommend epic for your rehabilitation services, thank you epic staff!

Some staff members have a greater sense of compassion than others. Physical therapy is amazing, the therapist really see your strengths and weaknesses and create a plan to improve your weaknesses. Oliver from rehab team was very helpful throughout my therapy. I would recommend patients who need recovery services to this facility. Thank you Epic for having a positive experience throughout my stay.

Why draft. Today’s experience not added. Review of Epic Rehab: A Deeply Concerning Experience Epic Rehab suffers from a severe lack of communication, professionalism, and respect for patients and their families. While the PT and OT staff are kind and competent, that professionalism does not extend to other departments—most notably, social work. Nancy, the facility’s social worker, is consistently rude, condescending, and dismissive. She lacks basic interpersonal and social work skills and seems completely unable or unwilling to meet patients and families where they are. At one point, I was left with no response but to laugh in disbelief at one of her inappropriate comments. Judging by other reviews, I’m far from the first person to experience this behavior—and yet, nothing appears to have been done to address it. One particularly disturbing incident involved my loved one being left unattended in the bathroom for 40 minutes, calling for help with no response. A PT staff member eventually arrived to escort them to therapy and found them in a helpless and distressed state. Shockingly, similar incidents have been mentioned in other reviews. If it’s been reported in a few reviews, one can only imagine how many times it has not been. In another instance, an aide accompanied my loved one to a medical appointment. When I arrived in the waiting room, I found the aide dozing off. Upon noticing me, she sprang up and pretended to be engaged with paperwork—though it was clear she had no idea what was going on. Not only was this unprofessional, it was alarming. Perhaps most concerning of all: a potential double-dose of nightly medication was nearly administered due to a lack of communication between nurses during a shift change. My loved one had to step in to prevent the error. Throughout the stay, it felt like they were the one keeping staff on track—correcting mistakes and reminding them of what needed to be done. How humiliating for Epic. What a complete mess. The facility gives off a five-star impression with its modern lobby, administrative offices, and well-kept dining area—but that’s where the illusion ends. Behind the polished surface lies poor operational practices, lack of coordination, and inconsistent care. Staff frequently contradict one another, and care plans seem disorganized and goals nonexistent or at the very least shared. They may claim to take complaints seriously, but judging by the accumulation of similar reviews over the years, it’s clear that nothing has changed. Epic Rehab has not earned the trust that families place in them. And they certainly haven’t upheld it. Epic, spare me your cookie-cutter response. Instead of offering generic and empty apologies, focus on improving the quality of care, hiring thoughtfully, and actually listening to the people who entrust you with their loved ones. Every facility has an obligation to provide a safe, respectful, and healing environment. You are failing on all three fronts. If you’re a family considering Epic, do your research. Look beyond the beautifully decorated lobby and polished sales pitch. Read the reviews—especially the ones buried at the end, where the most honest and critical feedback lives. A 4-star average - which is what Epic rates might sound acceptable, but when it comes to the health and safety of your loved one, excellence is the only acceptable rating. My honest review? Epic is an EPIC fail.

My brother needed rehab We had a wonderful experience at Epic. The staff including all the departments were caring and supportive and professional. He improved with physical therapy as well as nursing services. He really benefitted from physical therapy occupational therapy and speech therapy. Admissions helped us navigate insurance and helped transition from the hospital. The social work department was caring and supportive and eased his transition to the community when it was time. We felt their concern and caring throughout his stay from the staff. They were so attentive. Special thanks to Maria Christine Nancy joy laura Linda Gloria George Mariah Katerina Jodie and to so many others. I highly recommend Epic and would happily return if needed

I would like to extend my appreciation to two very dedicated staff members. Rafael (Raffy) in PT and Caterina in OT,,these two people are extremely dedicated and really concerned with helping the patient recover. These two staff members helped me with care and dignity.
