The only reason I give 1 star is because some of the staff are spectacular and care. I have been going to see a family member for a while now and the rules change depending on who works. Now today I was told I had to leave at 4pm when visiting ends at 7pm. My family sat in her wheelchair because of no back support for her back on the bed. So she said to sit on her bed and I told her I had no support for my medical issues and she said well lay down, so I did and I was told I can't. I've been accused of doing things I didn't do numerous times by the same 3 women and they threatened to ban me…

I've been accused of doing things I didn't do numerous times by the same 3 women and they threatened to ban me without even checking to see if it was accurate. Someone needs to send people in undercover to see what actually takes place here. On another day a nurse came in and woke the person up and said it's 11am med time, when in fact it was 11:57am. So not only an hour late but had the person confused about the time too. I'm so afraid of retaliation that this is a bogus name and account, just so I don't have to worry about my loved one or myself being retaliated against. Don't even waste your time trying to complain at facility level, I called numerous times with my number and never heard back, my family asked twice to see a specific admin with me present and no one ever showed up to find out what the issue was. She opened the window and was told she couldn't because it would shut the whole ac system down, she can't even close the door to change because if she pulls the curtain and someone pops in the curtain just blows around exposing her. There are SO many things wrong at this facility that it would cover a book. I've even seen staff eating the food sent for patients when they don't want it. I was threatened to get banned because I was given apple sauce by my family member. I do believe most staff get paid to play on their phone and gossip than anything else. One staff member was so high one day it was obvious to a blind person, yet he did his whole shift plus a few hours more with no issues from other workers. DON'T SEND YOUR FAMILY HERE UNLESS NECESSARY!

The staff is friendly and caring. Someone passed away today and it had an impact on everyone, staff included. This shows that they care

I had hip surgery and was sent to this facility. First off when I was discharged from the hospital Drs orders were pain meds every 4 hrs. When I arrived at this facility I had questioned the nurse that was on why wasn't I getting my pain meds every 4 hrs.Her response was that they were only going to give me my pain meds every 6 hrs as she didn't want me to get addicted to them, even though it was ordered by the surgeon that I receive the meds every 4 hrs.hmmm ?? Occupational and physical therapy took me on a walk, one standing beside me as I walked with a walker and the other behind me with a wheelchair. After I completed my walk I was asked to take a seat in the wheelchair,as I did both occupational therapist and physical therapist jumped on the elevator and never came back to take me to my room.Mr.Jamie a male nurse was yelling at the top of his lungs at a resident.smh I questioned Mr. Jamie if he had my nicotine gum on the med cart,he then screamed at me at the top of his lungs,we don't have that here. Most of the staff treat the residents unkindly. I was a 2 assist patient. I'd ring my buzzer for assistance walking to the bathroom, sometimes they would show up a half hr later or not at all. An aide brought me in a snack which was a plastic carton of single serve cereal and a small milk.on both the cereal and milk carton was the previous patients name. Isn't this a hipa violation?? I took pictures to prove it. Do not send your loved one to this facility.

I currently have a relative at this facility, and I have a question for the Director of Nursing or administration: Is it considered acceptable practice for staff members to raise their voices at residents to the point that patients become visibly upset or cry? This is deeply concerning and does not reflect the level of compassion, dignity, and respect that vulnerable patients deserve. I hope administration will investigate these incidents and take appropriate action to ensure residents are treated with kindness and professionalism. I would appreciate a response that addresses the concern rather than a generic statement about providing quality care like the one below. UPDATE: Watch the scheduled dosage time for pain medications! For example: Doctor definitely prescribed every 4 hours, but the staff says every 6.

Corning Rehab Center was clean, patients looked like they were being well cared for. It was lunch time for them and the meals that I saw looked good, and balanced.

Just because people are closer to the end of their life than the beginning doesn’t make them any less deserving of humane care. If you’re considering this place for a loved one: don’t do it. And if you have no other options I beg of you to be there as often as you can to advocate for them and force at least some level of attention.

Severly understaffed and apparently not very knowledgeable. My mother was here. When she first arrived they were only checking her sugar once week. I don't know a diabetic, including myself, that only checks sugar once a week. My last visit there they had 3 aids for the whole floor of 60 residents. Not ny state compliant at all. They were using a hover to transfer her when a week prior she was a 1 assist. Now more recently she had come to sayre for a appointment and ended up in the er on antibiotics. She had an abscess on her hip and they packed it with glaze causing a severe infection which led to having to have yet another surgery on her hip to replace the components that were affected by the infection. Please reconsider if you plan on taking a loved one here.
