Carondelet Commons Senior Apartments

There are signs all over the complex thanking tenants for Not Smoking, which is funny to me, as smoking exists ever day 24/7. Apartments may be inexpensive, but you get what you pay for. Corridors smell like smoke and in the mornings, my bathroom smells like an ashtray. I can list several issues that in a normal building would be serious violations, but they continue to exist at Carondelet.

If you have multiple chemical allergies this place is NOT for you, constant smell of smoke in a non-smoking building. Unfortunately, this is what I can afford. My tongue has had a burning sensation for 9 months. It helps to wear a mask and run my air purifier. People like to smoke, um....pretty insane since we've known for 40 years that it causes cancer, and second and third-hand smoke are much more toxic than ingesting cigarette smoke first-hand (being a smoker). Some very nice neighbors and the maintenance guy is nice and thorough, though he's completely besieged by work. Convenient locale…
