We were referred to Care Patrol, specifically Diane T., by our mother’s neurologist’s department. We had just learned she was diagnosed with cognitive decline and were at a loss as to what our next steps should be as far as finding the appropriate long-term care for her. In a series of the darkest moments, when a family has so many worries and no prior experience to bring to bear, Care Patrol was an invaluable guide. Their regional structure meant that knowledge about possible matches for our situation and available beds narrowed our choices, in the short and long-term. Diane presented our situation honestly, made appointments to visit that she accompanied us on, and was an emotional support for our family throughout. I don't know when she sleeps, she was following up with us whenever we reached out, and whenever she got new information. The social worker that connected us gave us a gift of gold.
