Alpine Manor gave my father a new lease on life. He was wasting away in the Hospital and because of his behavior record, other facilities were unwilling to deal with his issues. Alpine Manor gave my father a new lease on life. He was wasting away in the Hospital and because of his behavior record, other facilities were unwilling to deal with his issues. My father is a very difficult person to reason with, I truly thank everyone there for not taking the easy way out and giving up on him. This is why they get 5 stars. They really do care about the residents and giving them a quality life experiences at a much more affordable price than other facilities. Yes it may seem expensive, however it is one of the most affordable advanced assisted living facilities within driving distance of Rochester. No the facility is not brand new, it's got character. However the residents have a lot of freedom to furnish their rooms as they see fit. They do have a basic level of furnishings so you don't need to buy new everything.

I toured Alpine Manor Home for Adults. It was very nice. The apartments are clean. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I have no complaints. There's nothing that I didn't like.

The owner, [name removed] is friendly and very professional; all of the caregivers are kind and helpful; the home is large, rooms spacious and a resident has choices ( depending on availability ) of the type of room accommodations they want. My friend [name removed] was able to secure a double room with a bath in the middle so one room serves as a bedroom, the other a sitting area with a seconds full closet, room for a small dinette table/desk space, a large easy chair with table space next to it, a tv and stand if you wanted tv. The grounds are spacious and birds and deer are entertaining.…

The grounds are spacious and birds and deer are entertaining. The craft director is very competent, inviting everyone to join in. Most seemed eager to try it out. What I would like to see is a van/bus that would take residents for a-short cultural event once a month. A theatre, a movie, a speaking event, possibly even closer than Rochester. The home is impeccably clean. [name removed] says the food is like what her mom cooked at home .

I am a resident of Alpine Manor Home for Adults. My experience is good, and this is way less expensive than the other facility. In the afternoons, we always have something going on. We have a person in charge of activities, and we do everything from playing bingo to listening to music. We have these crazy instruments that we play. It's a lot of fun. We do a few things for exercise. We played games and cards. There's a good amount of things to do. They clean your room every day. There's a lot of gardens out there, so we get a lot of fresh food out of that in the summer, and it's better, but there's a lot of processed food and stuff.

[name removed] is adjusting quite well. She expressed how they have plenty of fun activities for the residents to engage in. She also mentioned they had a Valentine day party which she said was so much fun. She has expressed the staff is very nice and she does get along with the other residents. The only thing she has expressed of displusure is the food. She was just used to my good cooking. However I do bring Cindy snacks, crackers and etc.

Alpine has a homey relaxed atmosphere because it is a smaller facility than most. Because it is smaller there is no shortage of one on one personal attention. My mother especially enjoys the grounds and wildlife that come to the yard.

The new owners [name removed] and [name removed] are terrific, they really care about the residents. They are both very hands-on and work very hard filling in wherever needed. My mother is very happy there and loves the food, they have a very good cook. The staff is great, I have not met one person I'm unhappy with. The facility is on a country road with a huge yard and lots o f wildlife to watch which my mother enjoys. All in all everything is working out very well so far.

We needed help for Mom because our own age would not allow her to live with us any longer. We grew up in a farming community, so Alpine Manor's rural setting was attractive to us. Once we were able to visit and see the facilities and the room that would be Moms, it was an easy yes for us. The staff was extremely helpful with selecting new doctors and procedures for filling perscriptions. It is important that medicine is handed out to patients by the nurse .Mom has been a resident for 7 months and thoroughly enjoys the care she is given, her meals, and the daily activities. I would highly reccommend Alpine Manor to anyone making the difficult decision to transfer Mom's care to someone other than family. Mom was very nervous about moving to Alpine but the day she moved in a member of the staff sat and talked to her in a manner to remove her nervousness. Mom has become a social butterfly!!
