I went with a friend to visit a family member and I must say the facility is very well kept and clean. And I would also like to give a huge shout out to the director of housekeeping Virginia for helping out with our concerns and issues with the laundry and the room. She went above and beyond to assure are issues we’re taking care of and really made the experience visiting so delightful.
I, Sherrida Dawson, am thanking the whole entire Rehabilitation team at Adira for their welcoming atmosphere and laughter they provided to me for two months……I am incredibly grateful for my physical therapist, Karen, and my occupational therapist, Ernest. Their dedication, compassion, and encouragement, have made such a meaningful difference in my recovery…….. Karen was caring, kind and incredibly supportive. She challenged me everyday to push beyond what I ever thought I was capable of, while always making my safety her top priority. Because of her confidence in me, I have accomplished things I never believed I could do on my own. She has given me both the strength and the confidence to keep moving forward….. Ernest is equally outstanding. Every therapy session was thoughtful, creative, and tailored to help me continue making progress. He taught me a lot and always found new and engaging ways to challenge me, making each day productive and rewarding. By the end of every session, I was exhausted in the best possible way because I knew I was growing stronger…….Karen and Ernest are an exceptional team, whose compassion and commitment to their patients Is truly outstanding. I felt Incredibly blessed to have them guiding me through my rehabilitation and cannot thank them enough for the care and support they have given me. Many blessings to them both and the whole rehab team. p.s. Lori Bell, I already miss you and Karen’s singing. 7/25/2026 Added to original. I, Sherrida Dawson, am so extremely grateful for Tiffany, Director Of Client Services. From the moment I arrived, she has consistently gone above and beyond to make sure my needs are met and I am receiving the best possible care. Every single day she takes the time to check on me as well as other patients, making sure everyone feels seen, heard and supported…..No matter where I’m at in the Facility, Tiffany always finds me to see how I’m doing and always asks if I’m in need of anything. Her kindness, compassion and genuine concern for the patients are extremely remarkable. She brings such a positive energy and her smile and encouragement helps brighten even my most toughest days…Personally, I believe Tiffany is an incredible asset to the Facility. Her dedication has certainly made my rehabilitation experience much better and I am deeply grateful for everything she has done for me.
The worst place for an old person with dementia. Awful. Piss filled bathrooms that stink. Day room is filthy. Patio always locked. I live 2 miles away and tried to take my father out for visits to my home. They would not let him go out. He was being held prisoner there. He never saw sunlight and was getting progressively angrier and crazier by the day. An unknown and unseen psychiatrist was constantly changing mental medications that need time to be evaluated. As someone else said, it was hard to find out exactly who was in charge…and you certainly could never find them! they sent my father…

He never saw sunlight and was getting progressively angrier and crazier by the day. An unknown and unseen psychiatrist was constantly changing mental medications that need time to be evaluated. As someone else said, it was hard to find out exactly who was in charge…and you certainly could never find them! they sent my father to a hospital without telling me . The hospital sent him back . Then they sent him back again. All in a 24 hour period. Try to speak to the doctor making these decisions…not available. And to add a topper…his cell phone was stolen on Day 1. This is an awful facility with staff that do not have the best interests of patients at their core. Avoid at all costs.
The whole physical therapy team is wonderful. As well as Client Services Tiffany Jenkins she is always on top of everything when it comes to the patients weather they are there long term or short term she is always making sure their stay is the best possible in any situation.
I am sharing this out of profound devastation—and to warn others before it’s too late. Adira Nursing Home presents itself as upscale. In our experience, it was the opposite: dangerous, neglectful, and ultimately fatal. My mother entered this facility stable. What followed was a pattern of failure—doctor’s orders ignored, constant breakdowns in communication, and a complete lack of accountability. She was repeatedly sent back and forth to St. John’s Hospital due to issues that should never have escalated the way they did. There were times she was left unresponsive and without urgent intervention. She was not placed on the appropriate unit. It became clear that basic, necessary care only happened when family was physically present to demand it. She developed a preventable wound infection—and it cost her life. Let that sink in. This has shattered our family in ways that words cannot fully capture, and that pain continues every single day. Even after everything, we gave this facility multiple opportunities to meet with us, to acknowledge what happened—and they have failed to do so. If you love your family member, do not take this risk. Based on our experience, placing someone here could cost them their life.
My father was here for 2 months and he was treated with respect and care. The staff that work there were helpful and caring, respectful and attentive. They helped him back to full health. My family and I are very appreciative. I recommend this place for you or your family.
Pradeep kuruvlla is a good person, he knows his job, respectful and he understand each individual. He is a good communicator too. He is one of the best I have ever seen.
First and foremost, I am deeply grateful to Pradeep, my therapist. He was kind and incredibly patient as he guided me through my recovery. When I first arrived here, I had fallen and could not move my left arm or left leg at all due to the pain. But within three weeks, I was able to stand on my own; from there, I progressed smoothly to walking with a walker, and now I am able to walk on my own. Finally, I would like to once again express my gratitude to Pradeep for giving me this miracle.
